Few want to hear that the major, Counter-Strike's world championship, was won in lucky fashion. The most satisfying narrative and the one often forced is that the best team won the event and thus validates the format and the game itself as consistent and reliable. Those things may be, but the job of a historian is not to tell people what they wish were the case and while Counter-Strike may be a fair game on the grander scale it can be infamously fickle in the short term.
